Dilip Kumar Samantaray, principal secretary, science and technology department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, has taken over as Chief Executive Officer of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Government of India. The post was vacant after S N Mohanty moved to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on January 1, 2013 as Director General, supplies and disposal.
Earlier Dilip Kumar Samantaray, a 1982 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, was holding the position of principal secretary of public health and family welfare department, principal secretary, general administration department (GAD).
